Rental Terms & Conditions

1. What’s Included

Three packages are available. They differ substantially in insurance coverage. The table below shows exactly what is included in each.

The Free package includes unlimited mileage only — no insurance or roadside assistance is included. TPL, roadside assistance, towing, and breakdown cover are included from the Basic package upwards. Full zero-excess cover is exclusive to the Premium package.

2. Driver’s Age

The following age rules apply equally across all three packages.

  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Maximum age: 85 years.
  • Young Driver Surcharge (ages 21–23): EUR 11 per day.
  • Senior Driver Surcharge (ages 75–85): EUR 11 per day.

3. Driver’s License

The following requirements apply equally across all three packages and to all listed drivers.

  • A valid driving license held for at least 1 year with no major endorsements is required.
  • A valid ID card or passport must be presented at pickup.
  • If the license consists of multiple parts, all parts must be shown.
  • EU license holders may drive on their domestic license — no International Driving Permit (IDP) required.
  • Non-EU license holders must present an IDP together with their original domestic license.

It is solely the renter’s responsibility to carry correct and valid documentation. Missing or invalid documents will result in the rental being declined with no refund due. Reservations cannot be honoured without the required documents, and the rental will be recorded as a no-show in such cases.

4. Insurance Coverage

Coverage differs significantly between packages. Read your package carefully.

FREE — No Insurance Included

Included: Unlimited mileage only.

Not included: Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL). The renter bears full legal and financial liability for third-party damage and injury.

CDW is not included in this package. Should vehicle damage occur, the renter’s financial responsibility extends up to the full vehicle value.

THW is not included in this package. Should theft or fire occur, the renter’s financial responsibility extends up to the full vehicle value.

Not included: PAI, towing, breakdown, roadside assistance, or administrative cost coverage.

A credit card deposit is required at vehicle collection.

Please note: This package does not include insurance coverage. The renter assumes full financial responsibility for vehicle damage, theft, and third-party claims.

Optional upgrade available at the rental desk: Super CDW — reduces CDW excess to zero. Tyres, glass, and accessories may not be covered. Confirm at desk.

★ BASIC — With Excess

Included: Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL) — covers material damage and bodily injury to third parties.

Included: Towing, breakdown, and administrative costs.

Included: 24/7 roadside assistance.

Not included: CDW. In the event of vehicle damage, the renter is fully responsible up to the vehicle value. Excess is charged per incident.

Not included: PAI.

Not included: THW. In the event of theft or fire, the renter is fully responsible up to the vehicle value.

Optional upgrade available at the rental desk: Super CDW — reduces the CDW excess to zero. Tyres, glass, and accessories may not be covered. Confirm at desk.

★★ PREMIUM — Zero Excess Full Cover (Recommended)

Included: TPL and PAI. Note: Personal Accident Insurance covers the renter only when the accident is not their fault.

Included: CDW with Zero Excess — no financial liability for vehicle damage in covered incidents.

Included: Super CDW — zero excess, included as standard. No need to purchase at the desk.

Included: THW with Zero Excess — no financial liability for theft or fire in covered incidents.

Included: Towing, breakdown, and administrative costs.

Included: One additional driver at no extra charge.

Included: No credit card deposit required.

Note: Tyres, glass, undercarriage, and accessories are not covered even under Premium. Confirm at the rental desk.

A Damage Administration Fee of EUR 100.00 still applies per rental if damage occurs or the vehicle is stolen — regardless of package.

What CDW / Super CDW does NOT cover (all packages)

The following items are excluded from CDW and Super CDW under all packages:

  • Tyres and wheels
  • Windows, windscreen, and all glass
  • Exterior mirrors
  • Undercarriage
  • Interior, roof, and engine
  • Locks
  • Lost or stolen keys

WUG insurance to cover windows, windscreen, undercarriage and glass will be available at the rental desk.

Situations that void ALL insurance (all packages)

Insurance coverage — including Super CDW — is void under all packages in the following circumstances:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs ability.
  • Participating in racing, drifting, timed events, or other high-risk driving activities.
  • Using the vehicle for any commercial purpose, including taxi, delivery, courier, or ride-sharing services.
  • Carrying more passengers or cargo than the vehicle is legally rated for.
  • Driving in a manner that contravenes traffic laws, including excessive speed or unsafe manoeuvres.
  • Driving on unpaved, off-road, or otherwise unsuitable surfaces.
  • Transporting the vehicle on a ferry or vessel without prior written approval.
  • Crossing international borders without prior written consent.

In the event of any accident, damage, or theft, please obtain an official police report as soon as possible. Insurance claims cannot be processed without one. If the vehicle is stolen and the keys cannot be returned, insurance coverage will not apply and the renter will be responsible for the full vehicle value. Any departure from these conditions will result in insurance coverage no longer applying and may require the rental to be ended, with the renter responsible for all associated costs.

Package Upgrades at the Rental Desk

Customers wishing to upgrade their package at the rental desk are welcome to do so. Please note that the desk upgrade price is calculated based on the car group at the time of collection and may differ from the online price difference. Our team will advise the applicable fee at pickup. Please also note that departing from the conditions of your package will result in insurance coverage no longer applying.

5. Deposit

FREE — Deposit Required

A credit card deposit is required at vehicle collection. The deposit amount is blocked (pre-authorised), not charged.

Credit card only — no other payment method is accepted for the deposit.

The card must be in the main renter’s name, issued by a bank.

Please be aware that the deposit amount does not cap the renter’s maximum financial liability. The renter remains fully liable for the entire vehicle value.

Any remaining balance above the deposit will be charged after damage assessment.

★ BASIC — Deposit Required

A credit card deposit is required at vehicle collection. The deposit amount is blocked (pre-authorised), not charged.

Credit card only — no other payment method is accepted for the deposit.

The card must be in the main renter’s name, issued by a bank.

Please be aware that the deposit amount does not cap the renter’s maximum financial liability. The renter’s liability remains up to the full applicable excess, regardless of the deposit amount held.

Any remaining balance above the deposit will be charged after damage assessment.

★★ PREMIUM — No Deposit Required

No credit card deposit is required when the Premium package is selected.

6. Fees & Penalties

The following fees apply equally across all three packages.

Damage Administration Fee

A fee of EUR 100.00 per rental is charged whenever the vehicle sustains damage or is stolen, regardless of the package selected. This fee applies even under the Premium (Zero Excess) package.

Please note that vehicle downtime during repairs is not covered by any insurance package. The renter is responsible for immobilisation costs for up to 20 days. Departing from the conditions of your package will result in insurance coverage no longer applying.

Odour & Cleanliness

  • Strong odours (smoking, pets, etc.): EUR 150–300.
  • Excessive dirt or stains: EUR 80–200.
  • Special cleaning beyond standard: EUR 80–250, depending on condition and vehicle downtime.

Keys

  • Lost or damaged keys / key-cards: EUR 200 fixed charge.
  • Replacement key delivery: cost of a private driver at normal taxi rates (charged at cost).
  • Keys are not covered by any insurance package.

Traffic & Parking

  • All parking charges, congestion fees, tolls, road taxes, and traffic fines incurred during the rental period remain the renter’s responsibility.
  • Such charges are forwarded to the renter together with an administrative handling fee.

Optional Equipment

  • If any rented optional equipment (such as child seats or GPS units) is lost, damaged, or stolen during the rental, a replacement charge will apply.

7. Roadside Assistance

24/7 roadside assistance is included in the Basic and Premium packages. It is NOT included in the Free package.

  • Coverage applies even for incidents caused by the customer, provided they occur on paved (asphalt) roads.
  • Off-road / non-asphalt incidents are not covered. A surcharge of EUR 200–600 applies, depending on location.
  • Lost keys: EUR 200 plus delivery cost of replacement key (private driver at taxi rates).

8. Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup — applies across all three packages.

  • Any missing fuel, plus a refuelling fee, will be charged at return.
  • Unused fuel is non-refundable.
  • Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated.

9. Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included in all three packages. There are no per-kilometre charges.

10. Cross Border & Ferry Travel

The following restrictions apply equally across all three packages.

  • The vehicle must remain within Greece and may not cross international borders at any time during the rental.
  • Travel to Greek islands is not permitted, including by ferry.
  • The vehicle may not be transported on any ferry or vessel.

Departure from these conditions will result in insurance coverage no longer applying and may require the rental to be ended without refund.

11. One-Way Rentals

Available across all packages, subject to the following conditions.

  • One-way returns are permitted only between operator-owned and operated stations.
  • Must be requested and confirmed in advance.
  • Subject to availability and a small additional fee.

12. Early Returns & Unused Days

No partial or full refunds will be given for:

  • Early termination of the rental.
  • Late collection.
  • No-shows.
  • Cancellations made after the rental start date.
  • Any ancillary items or upgrades already purchased.

13. Payment Methods

All local payments are processed in EUR. No responsibility is accepted for refund discrepancies due to currency conversion.

  • Accepted: Cash, MasterCard, and Visa (credit and debit cards).
  • The card must be in the main renter’s name.
  • A bank-issued credit card is required at collection. Cards from non-bank financial institutions are not accepted.

14. Delivery & Collection

Available on request across all packages, subject to availability. Charges apply per service (each delivery or collection is billed separately).

15. Out of Hours Service

Available on request only.

  • Surcharge: EUR 30 per service.
